You know it really irks me when people and news reporters want to make a big deal about a gay couple that got married and is now getting divorced.

I mean really is that big a deal for people to report on it?  Divorce happens every day in this world, it just so happens you don’t notice that many gay folks getting divorced because it’s not legal for most of them to get married in the first place!

But just like heterosexual married couples, gay married couples, are in fact human too.  I know it’s probably shocking to some but, yes, married gay folks are human and therefore their relationships do end also;  just like heterosexual married couples relationships end (what are heterosexual couples now up to a 50% divorce rate?)

So please, do me a favor and stop reporting on gay marriages that are getting divorced.  It’s NOT news and more importantly, I’m sure they want their privacy and want to work through what is going on in their lives.
