The Ugandan Government said they will prosecute anyone who comes out as being gay or lesbian. Having sex with someone of the same sex in Uganda is punishable by by life imprisonment as it is a criminal offense.

By the way, the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission said that they had uncovered evidence that the Bush administration has funded groups in Uganda that actively promote violence and discrimination against lesbians and gay men.

I don’t know much about Uganda, but what I do know is that I don’t want to go there!!!!! Anyone from Uganda out there? Heck, I don’t know how safe you’d feel admitting anything on a gay blog anyway…so nevermind. This is just insane. I know I don’t live there and I have no control over what happens there but I’m sorry for what you have to go through there……….if there’s away we can help from here, please let us know.
